Fabrizio Della Corte, Tuba

Fabrizio Della Corte graduated with first class honours from the Conservatory Giuseppe Verdi in Milan where he studied Tuba under Professor Eros Sabbatani.  Subsequently, he obtained a Master’s degree from the University of Music Franz Liszt in Weimar, Germany under the guidance of Professor Walter Hilgers (International soloist) and Professor Stefan Tischler (Tuba soloist of the Munich Radio Orchestra).  At the same time, he participated in numerous masterclasses with world renowned professors, including Roger Bobo, Steve Rosse’, Patrick Sheridan and Steven Mead.

He has performed with several international orchestras, such as the Junge Sinfonie Berlin, with whom he played at the prestigious Berliner Philharmoniker Concert Hall.  He also collaborated with the National Theatre (Staatskapelle) in Weimar, the Rudolstadt Theatre, the Symphony Orchestra of Goettingen and the Festival Orchestra of Sofia.

He participated as a teacher at the Low Brass Festival in Maccagno, Varese where two of his compositions were performed for the first time, "Duet for Euphonium and Tuba" and "Fantasia Verdiana" for Tuba Quartet, the latter was published by the German publishing house Blechpresse Musikverlag.

Within the area of Chamber music he is engaged in different formations, for example he played with the Tuba Quartet during an episode of the scientific television programme “Superquark", which dedicated a part of the show to the Tuba.

Fabrizio is also a founder member of the Brass Quintet “Quintessenza Brass” to whom he dedicated some of his arrangements, including the Nabucco Sinfonia Verdi published by Edizioni Musicali Euphonia.
