Fernando Servidone was born in Lamezia Terme, Calabria, Italy.  He graduated from the State Conservatory of Vibo Valentia where he studied the French Horn and subsequently graduated in Chamber Music and Jazz Music from the Conservatory Santa Cecilia in Rome.

He studied with L. Giuliani (first horn, RAI Orchestra), M. Thompson (professor of natural and modern horn, Royal Academy of Music in London), G. Dini (first horn, Teatro Maggio Musicale Fiorentino), D. Clevenger (first solo horn, Chicago Symphony Orchestra), R. Bobo (international soloist), D. Short (RAI Orchestra).   He attended specialised music courses at the National Academy of Santa Cecilia in Rome, held by Professor Alessio Allegrini (first horn sololist with the Orchestra of Santa Cecilia, the Lucerne Festival Orchestra and the Mozart Orchestra).

He has played under the direction of a number of famous conductors such as Mehta, Pappano, Chung, Bychkov, Petrenko, Gatti, Nagano, Lu Jia, Reck, Rath, Noseda and Bellugi while collaborating with the following prestigious orchestras: the National Academy of Santa Cecilia; the Orchestra del Teatro dell'Opera (Rome), the Charleroi Philharmonic Orchestra (Belgium); Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino; Teatro lirico di Spoleto; the Symphonic Orchestra of Rome; the Regional Orchestra of Lazio; the Rome Sinfonietta Orchestra; Virtuosi di Roma; the Symphonic Orchestra of Sanremo; the Human Rights Orchestra and the Philharmonic Orchestra of Rome with Uto Ughi, performing in Europe, Canada, United Arab Emirates and the United States of America.

Fernando is an active chamber musician and works with different ensembles, among which the Octet for wind instruments with the Orchestra of the National Academy of Santa Cecilia performing alongside A. Allegrini, F. Di Rosa, F. Bossone and A. Carbonare.

He received the "Roma Music Award 2004" for his performance of the Trio op. 40 J. Brahms Horn, Violin and Piano at Palazzo Barberini in Rome.

During the celebrations for the 150th anniversary of the unification of Italy at the Cathedral in Fara in Sabina, he performed Mozart’s concert No. 1 for Horn and Orchestra.

He has recorded for RAI Radio, Vatican Radio as well as television programmes for RAI, Mediaset and RAI Sat. He has also recorded for RCA and EMI Classics with artists such as Morricone, Bacalov, Piovani, Pregadio, Vessicchio, Serio and other international artists.

Fernando is also an active arranger and many of his arrangements were performed at numerous editions of the International Meeting of Horn Players "Guelfo Nalli", as well as the V Edicion del Festival Provincial de Musica de Camera 2009 di Cuba a La Havana.

Fernando is a member of the brass quintet "Brass Quintessence" since its foundation.
